I am an outdoorsman currently based in Puerto Princesa, a coastal city in Palawan. Palawan is the largest province in the Philippines in terms of total area and one of the most biodiverse islands in the country. I like to read, write, and watch movies, but I keep so busy that I oftentimes feel that there are not enough hours in a day. In my spare time, I go mountain climbing with friends or spend quiet hours in the forest with my camera, searching for interesting subjects to photograph. I like meeting new and interesting people outdoors, hearing their stories, and seeing life through their eyes.

had been my favorite outdoor activity since early teens. My curiosity and hunger for adventure has driven me to explore mountains and scale several unclimbed peaks in the province. I am the happiest when I am outside, surrounded by great landscape of intense greenery. I am well trained in mountain first aid and skilled in rainforest wilderness survival and navigation.
is a serious hobby. The importance of this unique ecosystem in Palawan is highly neglected in our everyday living and our vast green forest is declining every year. I have been inspired by the hope that by showing people our amazing flora and fauna, I can help them to understand that our wildlife, whose habitat the human race were destroying have to be protected.

has become an enjoyable pastime. Blogging for nature is harder than writing fiction and hiking stories. I not only have to develop my photography skills, but I also have to learn about the wildlife that I shoot. However, I feel fortunate that I live here. Palawan’s beautiful nature and its unique biodiversity is a great place to grow these skills.
is one of my favorite freelance jobs. Although I specialize in organizing and guiding multi-day special interest expeditions in the mountains and jungles of Palawan, I sometimes take people out on leisure camping trips, short nature hikes, and wildlife photography trips when I'm available. I also lead night walks focused on macro photography, and reptile and amphibian photography both around Puerto Princesa City and in remote, less-visited areas of Palawan whenever I am available.
